Making money is art and working is art and good business is the best art of all.
Andy Warhol
I love this quote from Andy Warhol. As a visual artist myself I have often been confused about ideas relating to art and money. Warhol, however, seemed to have no such confusion. The money making became part of his art and part of his work. Often we hear about the stereotype of "the starving artist" and see it as somehow romantic for an artist to be broke. As though real meaning couldn't stem from something that was just made as a commercial object in the first place.
But I think that Andy was onto something. In our current global society demanding money for a product deems it as having some kind of value. If it's free it must not be worth anything. The value for an artist's works in turn gives the artist himself value and ups the value of any prospective art that the artist is yet to make. And often, like the work of Andy Warhol, the simplest works are often the most effective.
If good business is the best art of all, then I think that something as straight-forward as the Adsense Treasure program is worthy of a rave review.
Have a look : like a work of art, it may just change your life.
